EPADS 2.0 vendor registration in Pakistan: documents, account setup and free PPRA training

Last updated: 19 October 2026

If you supply goods or services to government offices in Pakistan, you will keep running into the same line in tender notices: bidders must be registered on EPADS. Without that registration you cannot even submit a bid. The good news is that creating the account is quick. The part that trips people up is not knowing what to prepare first, or which portal to use.

This guide explains what EPADS 2.0 is, what to keep ready, how to create your vendor account, and where to get free help from the regulator. It is based on notices and pages published by PPRA and on the official registration page, not on guesswork.

What is EPADS 2.0, and who needs to register?

EPADS stands for e-Pak Acquisition and Disposal System. It is the online platform government bodies use to publish tenders and receive bids. The federal government has moved to an upgraded version, EPADS 2.0, and procuring agencies are being shifted to it gradually. PPRA has said that all vendors and potential bidders need to register on the new platform, even if they were on the older one.

You should register if you are a supplier, contractor or service provider who wants to bid on federal government procurement. Many tender notices now state that bids must be submitted through EPADS 2.0 by registered bidders, so it is worth doing before you find a tender you want, not on the day before the deadline.

One thing to keep in mind: provincial bodies and some organisations may use their own procurement systems. Always read the tender notice itself to see where bids are accepted. If your tender comes from a Punjab government department, see our separate guide to EPADS supplier registration in Punjab.

What to keep ready before you start

The exact requirements depend on whether you register as an individual, a firm or a company, and the portal will tell you what it needs. As a practical starting point, collect these in one folder:

  • The CNIC of the owner or authorised person
  • A mobile number you use and an email address that belongs to you or your business
  • Your NTN. If you do not have one yet, read our guide to NTN registration documents for individuals in Pakistan
  • Business registration papers if you operate as a firm or company
  • Business bank account details
  • Any licence or certificate your trade requires, for example a contractor or professional registration

Tender documents often ask bidders to show valid tax registration. Each tender sets its own eligibility rules, so check them before you bid. If you want to confirm your own tax standing first, see how to check your ATL status in Pakistan.

How to create your EPADS 2.0 vendor account

  1. Open the official vendor portal. Go to vendors.epads.gov.pk and choose the option to register as a new vendor.
  2. Fill in the account form. The registration page asks for your title, first and last name (and middle name if you have one), mobile number, email address and a password, entered twice.
  3. Read the privacy policy and terms, then tick the box to agree.
  4. Submit the form and follow whatever the portal asks next, for example confirming your contact details.
  5. Log in and complete your vendor profile. This is where your business details and documents are added. The screens you see depend on your entity type, so go slowly and match every detail to your official papers.

Choose your email carefully. The registration page states that your email address is your unique identifier on EPADS 2.0 and cannot be changed after you register. Use an email address you will keep for years, and one that you control. Do not use an agent’s or a friend’s address.

Portal screens can change, so treat these steps as a roadmap and follow the instructions the portal shows you on the day.

Where to get free help

PPRA runs free online training sessions for contractors and vendors on EPADS 2.0, covering vendor registration and the other features of the system. Details are on the PPRA training page at ppra.gov.pk/trainings. The training page lists the email trainings@ppra.gov.pk and the phone number 051-9245635 for questions.

PPRA has also warned that its official communication comes only from the @ppra.gov.pk domain. If someone offers to “approve your EPADS account” for a fee from a different address, be careful.

Common mistakes to avoid

  • Using someone else’s email address, then losing access to your own account
  • Typing your name or business name differently from your CNIC and registration papers
  • Waiting until a tender is about to close before registering
  • Assuming an old EPADS account is enough, when the new platform needs its own registration
  • Registering and then ignoring the profile, which leaves you unready when a good tender appears

Registering is only the first step

An EPADS account lets you take part. It does not make you eligible for any particular tender. Each tender has its own conditions: experience, financial standing, tax compliance and documents. Clean books and an up-to-date tax record make a real difference here, because bid documents often ask you to prove them.

Frequently asked questions

What is the link for EPADS vendor registration?

The upgraded federal vendor portal is vendors.epads.gov.pk. Tender notices from federal agencies point bidders to the same address.

I was registered on the old EPADS. Do I need to register again?

PPRA’s notice says vendors and potential bidders need to register on the new EPADS platform. Check your tender notice, as it will say which version the agency uses.

Can I change my email address after registering?

The registration page says your email address is your unique identifier and cannot be modified later. Choose it carefully.

Is there official training for vendors?

Yes. PPRA offers free online training sessions for EPADS 2.0, including vendor registration. See ppra.gov.pk/trainings for details.

Does registration guarantee I can win tenders?

No. Registration only lets you take part. Winning depends on meeting the tender’s conditions and offering what the agency asks for.

Need your tax and accounts in order before you bid?

Many bidders lose time because their tax filing or bookkeeping is not ready when a tender asks for proof. I help small businesses and salaried persons prepare accurate returns and keep their records tidy. See our FBR income tax return filing services page.
